Ingredients
1 loaf French bread
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp steak seasoning
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup provolone cheese, sliced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Steak:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced steak and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add the onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until softened.
Return the steak to the skillet and season with steak seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
Prepare the Bread:
Slice the French bread loaf horizontally and hollow out some of the interior to create space for the filling.
Assemble the Stuffed Bread:
Fill the hollowed-out bread with the steak and vegetable mixture.
Top with shredded mozzarella and slices of provolone cheese.
Bake:
Place the stuffed loaf on a baking sheet and bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
