Flaky puff pastry spirals filled with creamy blue cheese, toasted walnuts, and fresh thyme—perfect for entertaining or pairing with wine.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • ½ cup walnuts, toasted and finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1 tsp dried thyme)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare pastry: Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Add filling: Sprinkle evenly with blue cheese, walnuts, and thyme. Press gently into pastry.
  4. Roll & slice: Starting from the long edge, roll pastry tightly into a log. Slice into ½-inch rounds and place flat on the baking sheet.
  5. Brush & bake: Brush tops with beaten egg. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. Finish & serve: Drizzle with honey (optional) before serving warm.
